Blacksburg Society of Friends Access Road

A structural soil test section was installed as part of a construction of a new access road in May 2007. The entire paved section is 22' wide with 6.5' drainage swales on each side. The structural soil test section in located within one lane and is about 95' long, 13 ' wide and 2' deep. This allows direct comparison of runoff water between the two swales on the test and conventional sides.
